A Message from our New President
As our new year begins, I am grateful to Past President, Cheryl Godbout, and the Chamber and Foundation Boards of 2011-2012 for preparing our organization to move forward. There is renewed energy and excitement about the upcoming plans for the Women's Chamber of Commerce and the Women's Chamber Foundation. I am committed to focusing on women's issues, our member's businesses and engaging our members in Chamber and Foundation activities.
I anticipate getting to know our members and encourage you to reach out to me, our Chamber Administrator, Mary Hart; First Vice-President, Susan McCormick, or any board member with your feedback and ideas.
This year's theme, "NOT the best kept secret" comes from one of our members. It reminds us to promote the benefits of the Women's Chamber of Commerce, support member businesses, and encourage other business women to share their talents and experiences. There are thousands of women-owned businesses and women seeking higher education in Palm Beach County - most are not aware we're here and what our mission is. Join me this year to promote awareness about The Women's Chamber of Commerce and The Women's Chamber Foundation.
I look forward to working with the newly appointed board in 2012-13 on a successful year of productive accomplishments. Thank you for electing me to be the Chamber's President this year.
